This technical seminar will examine the building envelope as a complete system: *The evolution of the building envelope and modern design expectations. *Examine the Control Layers Approach to building envelope system design. *Discuss the benefits of a systematic approach to the various elements of the building envelope
11-12pm: Wind Warranties vs. Wind Uplift (1 LU)
During the presentation, you will learns tips on what to consider during the warranty process and the true definition of terms revolving around wind uplift requirements for roofing systems. The building code does not require that a warranty is issued! Taking a look at the differences and suggest ways in which specifications can be written to meet the local code requirement. The knowledge gained from this informative presentation will significantly help protect your investment.
11-12pm: Reparación y Protección de Concreto en garajes (playas) de Estacionamientos (1 LU)
Muy pocas estructuras están sujetada a las demandas de tráfico extremo y a la exposición continua a los elementos climaticos que las estructuras de estacionamiento deben soportar. Very few structures are subjected to the extreme traffic demands and continuous exposure to the elements that parking structures must withstand. Attendees will examine the following topics: Parking structure common repair means and methods, sealant selection and joint design for high traffic areas. Traffic deck coatings – types, design considerations and installation techniques.
